Hello, I am a thirty something year old who loves sewing, baking, cooking, crafts, shopping, reading and Christmas; especially when they all intertwine.  I started sewing at the age of 11 and have not been able to stop since. At any given time I am in the middle of at least five projects.  I am self-taught with some advice from friends and family along the way, but I have never taken any lessons or classes. I started by sewing doll clothes and stuffed animals and then moved into making clothes for myself. In college, I spent four years working in the costume shop for the Providence College Department of Theatre, Dance, and Film. These days I make more dresses than I have time to wear as well as alterations, quilts, and whatever projects come my way.

I definitely have a sweet tooth, which is probably where my love of baking came from, but I do enjoy cooking.  Despite my love of baking and cooking, I am a picky eater,  in my house growing up if you didn’t like the dinner then you had to make something yourself, which was the case for me most nights. This is when I started to make food that I would actually eat.

As new homeowner, I improving my DIY skills; electrical is pretty good but my plumbing not so much. Every time I finish a project, I come up with five more to do.  The list never ends! Neither does my reading list.  I am always in the middle of a book (or two!)  I am a frequent flier at my local library and always looking for books or authors to read.
